The First Annual IIFA Digital Content Awards ceremony will be held as a part of the 25th IIFA Weekend. Entrants are advised to review all criteria before submitting nomination forms.
- Eligible content must have been produced for, and initially released through, online distribution between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024.
- Content does not need to have been produced during the eligibility period, but it must have first become publicly available for online viewing during that period.
- Online distribution means direct delivery to consumers for online viewing through a streaming or OTT platform, regardless of the device used.
- Content previously released, distributed, or exhibited in another medium before, during, or after the eligibility period will not be eligible. A limited festival premiere of up to one showing before OTT availability may be considered eligible.
- Previews, trailers, sizzle reels, short films, sequences from feature-length films, and episodes from established television series previously distributed through broadcast, pay-per-view, satellite, or cable television are not eligible.
- Eligible content must be in its original Hindi or English format. Content dubbed into Hindi or English will not qualify, and it must have premiered and been available to consumers within Indian territory.
The Entry Form Submission
- The entry form must be completed and signed by the commissioning entity, streaming platform, producer, or authorised signatory, depending on rights ownership.
- If a producer or commissioning entity submits an entry, they are responsible for informing the streaming platform and seeking required approvals where applicable.
- The producer undertakes responsibility on behalf of the production unit for the award categories entered and for submitting all required paperwork and details.
- By submitting a nomination, the entrant grants IIFA rights to use clips, visual images, songs, interviews, bytes, performances, and related footage for IIFA Digital Awards activity, telecast, streaming, social media, on-ground events, promotion, and marketing.
- IIFA will require official legal credits in PDF format, acknowledged and signed by the producer, along with the online streaming platform name and online release date.
- The commissioning entity or producer must inform all relevant cast and crew about the nominations being applied for and ensure nominees are available to attend if nominated.
- Eligibility will be determined from supplied credits certified to IIFA by the production company, with IIFA retaining final rights on inclusion, credibility, disputed credits, and category eligibility.
- All submissions are final and cannot be withdrawn after the nomination closing date.
Balloting and Nominations
- Final decisions will follow IIFA's nomination process, subject to changes at the discretion of IIFA management and the IIFA Advisory Board.
- Duly completed entry forms must be received by IIFA by the stated deadline.
- Select members of the digital content production and distribution industry will be invited by the IIFA Academy for online voting.
- Eligible nominations will be published after audit completion, with final nominees announced on iifa.com and through a global media release.
- Public voting may be conducted online after final nominees are announced.
- Final nominee voting and ballot tabulation will be derived through a weighted average between industry and public voting, audited by IIFA's independent auditors.
- If a nominated achievement is declared ineligible at any stage, it will not be replaced and the category will continue with one fewer nominee.
- Only the eligible top two nominees per category will be hosted for travel, accommodation, and event invitation by IIFA. For team submissions, a maximum of two people may be permitted.
- If an award category winner has been achieved by two or more persons, each person will receive a trophy.
