Priyadarshan Movies That We All Love

The veteran Malyali director Priyadarshan has given us some of our all-time favourite Bollywood comfort watch movies to curl up to on a Friday night. Whenever we want a hearty laugh or a touching romance we keep going back to his movies. Read on to look back on some of Priyadarshan’s most famous and loved movies.  


Hera Pheri

Hera Pheri, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, has gained the status of a cult classic over the years. It introduced iconic characters like Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam to Bollywood. Premiered in the year 2000, the film received numerous accolades, including an IIFA award for the best performance in a comic role.


Chup Chup Ke

A romantic comedy released in the year 2006 and starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles, Chup Chup Ke remains a fan favourite even today. It is just the kind of movie that you can keep revisiting over and over again and still have a great time watching. 



Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Priyadarshan has made his mark in romantic and comedy movies but that is not all. He has brought to life one of the most iconic Bollywood horror comedies as well. Bhool Bhulaiyaa starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan is loved by all and remains an iconic movie to this day. 



Hungama 

The title of this movie does perfect justice to what ensues in the film which is pure chaos. Released in the year 2003 and starring Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen, and Paresh Rawal in key roles, this movie is one for the ages. If you’re looking for a hearty laugh then this is the movie for you. 



De Dana Dan

De Dana Dan is another movie that has been loved by audiences over the years. Starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Katrina Kaif this is a chaotic comedy that will never get old.
