A lot of our favourite stars had humble beginnings with the first roles they ever did. Read on to look back at the debut performances of some of our favourite stars of today.
Salman Khan
Salman Khan made his acting debut in 1988 in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi, where he played a supporting character. He got his first big break a year later when he played the lead role in the romantic drama Maine Pyar Kiya.

Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan made his Bollywood debut in the film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, which came out in the year 2000. Roshan played the lead role in this movie and gave quite an impressive performance. The audiences knew they would be seeing more of this charming actor in the coming years!

Kareena Kapoor Khan
The much-loved Kareena Kapoor Khan debuted opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the 2000 drama film Refugee. Kapoor delivered a memorable performance as the female lead in this movie and cemented herself as a talented actress in Bollywood.

Kajol
The stunning Kajol made her acting debut at the young age of seventeen. She first appeared on screen as Radhika in the 1992 movie Bekhudi. The role earned her much praise, and she later signed the famous film Baazigar, starring opposite the dashing Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan
The King of Romance also made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with the commercially successful Deewana. He went on to get recognised after his debut, consequently signing a lot more films. And the rest, as we know, is history!
