Celebrating Bollywood’s Iconic Franchises Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Singham
Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are set to release this Diwali, and Bollywood fans are eagerly waiting for the return of these beloved franchises.
As these two incredible films gear up to be released in cinemas, let’s look back at the journey of both these loved franchises.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the first film in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series hit the big screens in 2007 and starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. The film perfectly blended horror and comedy, with Vidya Balan haunting us as Manjulika while Akshay Kumar had us falling off our seats with his impeccable comedic timing.

The sequel, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, released in 2022, continued the legacy with Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu drawing both old fans and a new generation of viewers with the return of Manjulika.

The tale of Manjulika returns with an exciting twist, as the original Manjulika, Vidya Balan, steps back into her iconic role—this time alongside the legendary Madhuri Dixit! Kartik Aaryan is back and has teamed up with Triptii Dimri, promising yet another epic saga that’s sure to thrill audiences!

Coming to Singham (2011), the blockbuster film starred Ajay Devgn as the iconic Bajirao Singham and featured names like Prakash Raj and Kajal Aggarwal! Be it the storyline, the action-packed scene or the background music, the first film of this Rohit Shetty franchise built a loyal fanbase for life!

Following the success of Singham, a much-anticipated sequel, Singham Returns, hit theaters in 2014, bringing back Ajay Devgn along with stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anupam Kher. While the original's popularity set the high bar, Singham Returns captured audiences just as powerfully, winning over as many hearts, if not more!
