With the world returning to normalcy and everyone getting excited for fresh travel opportunities, we bring to you some Bollywood blockbusters that are sure to induce some travel excitement and help you make plans for that long weekend ahead!


  1. Silsila

    The first one is an iconic and classy choice. With the sizzling chemistry of the suave Amitabh Bachhan and the timeless Rekha, this movie brought to screen the stunning visuals of Pahalgam, Kashmir and some stills of the Srinagar Airport. The song ‘Dekha Ek Khwaab’ is known to be partly shot in the beautiful tulip gardens of the Netherlands.




  1. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

    The biggest and most successful romantic movie of the 1990s. This movie has smashed box office records globally and is known equally for its cinematography as much as for its direction and screenplay. The beautiful locales of Zurich, Switzerland and the cityscapes and fast life of London, not to forget the yellow mustard fields of Haryana took the world by storm. Talk about the wanderlust bug, biting hard with this one!




  1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

    If there’s one thing everyone knows is that no film has portrayed Spain so beautifully as this fun and witty movie has. A film that gives life’s meaningful lessons through its story and music both. Itching to backpack through Spain? You would want to watch this movie to get a feel of what it looks like.



  1. Dear Zindagi

    Shot almost entirely in the calm and placid Goa, this movie which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead is in a league of its own. Touching on important subjects such as mental health, parenting and dealing with adult relationships, this coming-of-age film has been shot on the Morjim beach and Benaulim beach and some peaceful parts of South Goa.




  1. Kal Ho Naa Ho

    The movie that defines what selfless love looks like, is also very big on picturesque locations. Majorly shot in Toronto, New York and Mumbai, the movie is a treat to the eyes. With the title song shot in the sun-lit Brooklyn and Preity Zinta swaying in a red dress in the streets of NYC you're sure to be glued to the screen.



 

  1. Haider

    A subtle adaptation of one of Bard’s most famous plays, Hamlet. The movie very poignantly touches upon multiple subjects such as filial obedience, Oedipus complex, corruption, betrayal and love. Shot almost entirely in Jammu and Kashmir, the scenic snowscapes throughout the movie will leave you wanting more.

    The multifaceted actor has a keen interest in outdoor sports and dancing. He has been also been involved in playing football with great interest. An outdoorsy person from a young age, he is quite skilled at martial arts and gymnastics.



  1. Raavan

    Starring the power couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the offbeat movie is shot in numerous locations around India including the forests of Karnataka (Tumkur), Ooty, Jhansi, Kolkata, Mahabaleshwar and in the Malshej Ghats in Maharashtra. The vivid and very touching song ‘Behne De’ has been shot in the heavenly Athirappilly Falls, Kerala. The gushing streams of water and the rugged terrains make it difficult to look away from the screen.
