Abhishek Bachchan - the name says it all. Junior Bachchan, the son of the established superstar Amitabh Bachchan arrived on the Bollywood scene in the year 2000 with the release of the much-anticipated Refugee. Over the years, there has been no looking back for the actor, as he performed in a variety of roles in films catered to different audiences. Today we look back on some of his best movies as an actor.


  1. Manmarziyaan:

    One of his recent and brilliant portrayals as an actor, the movie won many rave reviews for the story and screenplay. Cast as the warm and dependable ‘Robbie’ he outdid his previous performances with this one. Watch this one and you’d be rooting for Robbie and Rumi too!



  1. Guru

    Released in 2007, this is a movie co-written and directed by the iconic Mani Ratnam. The story of how a simple man from a humble village background makes it to the top in urban Bombay. It's surreal to see Abhishek Bachchan deliver in every scene.



  1. Dhoom

    Dhoom created quite a stir in the country on its release. It is the first movie in the Dhoom franchise. The story revolves around a cool-headed cop and his chase to catch goons. The film garnered positive reviews from critics and was one of the highest-grossing movies of the year 2004.


  1. Bluffmaster

    This is an offbeat movie with an equally amazing soundtrack, also starring the talented Priyanka Chopra. The storyline is based on the ultimate con man of the city getting conned himself. The movie ends on a happy note with Roy played by Abhishek Bachchan, mending his ways for the better.

    Another movie that stars Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra alongside each other is Dostana. The movie shot the actress to fame and AB Junior proved his acting prowess yet again. The film has a happy-go-lucky vibe to it and portrays some important lessons on love and friendship.

    This intense political thriller tells the story of a politician and his family in Mumbai. What happens when a son rises to the occasion and fights his father’s enemies with fierce power and conviction. An intriguing storyline and Abhishek Bachchan’s acting talent makes this worth a watch.

    This movie is a special one as Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan swap roles of father and son to deliver outstanding performances. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of his ailing son, Auro, beautifully. The movie has many funny and emotionally poignant scenes, enough to leave you in a fuzzy emotional state.



  1. Raavan

    A movie based on Stockholm syndrome, this tells the tale of an abducted woman and her infuriated kidnapper. After she is abducted, in an interesting turn of events Ragini and Beera fall for each other and what unfurls later is totally unexpected. We could re-watch this Mani Ratnam treasure anytime.


With many of his promising movies releasing this year, Abhishek Bachchan is here to deliver some supreme performances and we are excited to watch them.
