5 best movies to watch on a first date

Bollywood portrays love as something so magical that we have been falling for the movies and the actors. They say that love is slow, compassionate, and kind and we all agree on is that a movie date is an amazing way to spend time. Now you may go for jumpscare horror movies, but romantic songs, a hero that always saves the day, and cheesy dialogues, will always be the best.

Just like the bollywood heroes we are here with five best movies you can watch on a first date.

  1. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na:

This movie is a true portrayal of college life romance. The movie is about, Jai who belives in non-violence and Aditi, a girl driven by impulse and aggression. Their friendship is so deep that people think they are dating. So in order to prove that they aren’t, they set out to find a perfect partner for each other. Now Jai finds a girl and Aditi starts missing his company. The movie defines real life romance at its best.

  1. Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani:

For most it is a typical bad boy meets good girl tale, but in reality is so much more than that. We are not denying the obvious plot, but the movie has a meaning beyond that. When made to choose between their passion and love, Naina and Kabir choose passion. Fast forward to their friend’s wedding, they reunite and now that they have made their dreams come true, they can finally settle for love. What makes it better is the upbeat music and the humour.

  1. Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein:

This movie explores all angles of love that can be portrayed in a classic bollywood romantic drama. RHTDM, made us fall in love with R. Madhavan’s character Maddy. He falls in love with a girl who he’s never met and pretends to be her fiance. Although he lies about his identity, he never takes advantage of Reena (Dia Mirza). Slow romantic songs, love at first sight, and a ‘true’ hero, what more do we need to make it the best movie date?

  1. Socha Na Tha:

Even today, our desi parents are all about arranged marriages. Socha Na Tha, explores the same theme but with a twist. Two people Viren (Abhay Deol) and Aditi (Ayesha Takia), are set up for arranged marriage, but they both deny. On a turn of events, they again meet, and Viren invites Aditi to Goa to find out if his girlfriend of three years loves him or not. Though the movie was not as appreciated at the box office, Imitaz Ali’s Socha Na Tha has a real good plot.

  1. Rockstar:

With the number of romantic dramas by Imtiaz Ali, and how all of them are so different, we might as well call him the love guru of bollywood. Rockstar is one such creation by him. It portrays that true love, truly heals us. We feel safe, secure and happy when we are with the person we love. JJ and Heer’s story is just like that. As Khatana suggests, that to become a great musician, JJ either has to be in love or heartbroken. Well his advice was true, and Jordan becomes a rockstar after all. Alongwith an amazing story, the movie comes with even better music, We are sure you know that already.

Everyone’s love is different and special, cherish yours with these romantic movies on your movie date.
