Bollywood Movies That Are Known For Their Soulful Songs


Bollywood is full of movies that will always be remembered for their amazing storylines and fantastic acting, most of us tend to forget the plot of a movie. However, the songs remain with us, in our hearts, and our playlists and can become a huge factor in drawing us to the theaters.

Music is an essential part of our film industry as it brings out the emotions actors try to portray. Here is a list of some of those Bollywood movies that are known for their soulful songs.


  1. Delhi 6:

    With AR Rahman as the music composer, Delhi 6 gave us a superhit soundtrack. From Genda Phool to Masakali, they have been etched in our memories. Those songs were some gems by the God of music himself.



  1. Dilwale:

    From Gerua to Janam Janam, we were all awestruck by the chemistry between our favourite duo. Though the movie was not as good as the fans expected, they were still really happy with Kajol's comeback. The movie left us with an amazing soundtrack album by Pritam.



  1. Cocktail:

    Loaded with chart-busters, Cocktail redefined Deepika’s career. The soundtrack was as amazing and captivating as the storyline. From Daaru Desi to Second Hand Jawani, Pritam worked his magic.


  1. Rockstar:

    It was one of a kind movie at the time of its release. It is also considered a musical hit with a soundtrack that still makes us go berserk. Composed by AR Rahman, its soundtrack varies from soft rock, Sufi, qawwali to folk music.



  1.  Aashiqui 2:

    The movie did not just give us amazing songs for our playlist but also singers we all love. The movie was a sensation at the time of its release. It also lived up to the expectations of the fans who were amazed by Aashiqui (1990).


 

  1. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil:

    Though the movie was followed by a number of controversies, it left us with songs that feed the music lover in us. Its soundtrack album was composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The songs are intense and full of emotions, tugging at the strings of our hearts.



  1. Murder:

    Released in 2004, Murder was a bold movie and proved to be a huge success. Besides being an amazing movie, it had an even better soundtrack. Songs like Bheege Hont Tere and Kaho Na Kaho are still popular.



  1. Tum Mile:

    Tum Mile was an amazing story of a struggling painter portrayed during the 2005 floods in Mumbai. The title track was a hit itself, followed by Dil Ibaadat and Tu Hi Haqeeqat.



  1. Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani :

    The movie had an unforgettable soundtrack and was a musical hit. While the lyrics were penned by Irshad Kamil and Ashish Pandit, the soundtrack was composed by Pritam. ‘Tera Hone Laga Hoon’ is still a hit among couples.



  1. Love Aaj Kal:

    Love Aaj Kal gave us evergreen hits like Chor Bazari and Aahun Aahun. This was one of the best albums created by Pritam. Moreover, Twist became the party anthem while the heartbroken loved Dooriyan.
