From Namastey London to Merry Christmas, Katrina Kaif has mesmerised the audience with her charm. She’s not only a stellar actress but also a graceful dancer. At IIFA too, she has delivered some unforgettable performances. She’s been in the industry for over a decade, but very few know these five facts about her. Read ahead to know more.
Kaif wasn’t always her surname
We’ve known her name to be ‘Katrina Kaif’ since she started acting in Bollywood films. Ayesha Shroff, the producer of Katrina’s debut film, Boom suggested Katrina change her last name. To make it familiar to the Indians, she chose to change her surname from Turquotte to Kaif.
A young model
Her journey towards becoming an actor began at the age of fourteen. When she was in Hawaii, she got an opportunity to work as a model for a jewellery brand.

More than acting

She revealed that she is afraid of being in the dark. One more thing that she’s really scared of is height. 
A star’s dream
In 2015, Madame Tussauds celebrated fifteen years of Bollywood by installing Katrina’s wax statue at the museum.
