Bollywood Movies that will teach you to ‘ Love Yourself First ’

We all have witnessed those epic love stories. We have seen how after so many ups and downs, they always find each other. Between all these larger than life love stories, we always forget about loving ourselves first. Here are some of those movies that will teach you to ‘Love Yourself First’.

  1. Dear Zindagi: We are all aware of Jug’s unconventional methods to overcome our problems. But how many of us actually pay attention to the message he gives? Throughout the movie, one thing that remained constant was the idea of ‘loving yourself first’.

  1. Dil Dhadakne Do: Following the lavish lives of Mehra’s and the scenic locations of Turkey, the movie provides insights about the tangled lives of families. Though it follows many issues from a toxic marriage, love, heartbreak, and friendship, it also teaches us to always love ourselves enough to know when to leave such toxic situations and stand up for ourselves.

  1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani:  YJHD makes us all want to go on a trip with our friends, just so somehow we can experience all the fun Bunny, Naina, Avi, and Aditi had. But it also teaches us the importance of self love. Aditi was blindly in love with Avi when he was busy chasing other women. She decides to move on and marries the man who loves her unconditionally.

  1. Jab We Met: The story of Geet and Aditya is one of a kind. Full of life Geet meets Aditya on a train and she gives meaning to his life and teaches him to live carefree. Amidst those nostalgic songs and comedy scenes we may forget one thing that Geet said, ‘Main apni favourite hoon’. We all need that kind of self love.

  1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: It’s true that you are going to live only once, so why not live it to the fullest and make every day count. Apart from the adventure, ZNMD teaches us the valuable lesson of self love. It teaches us to stop going after things that won’t matter later in life.

The list may end here but your self love must go on and on.
