2021 may have been a year full of surprises of all kinds for everyone. But what has set the mood for a better 2022 is the countless number of good movies that kept us hooked during the year and helped us relive the magic of watching movies on the big screen.

1.Bhuj: The Pride of India

Based on the true story and incidents of the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The story revolves around then Air Force Squadron Leader, Vijay Karnik, essayed by the versatile action hero, Ajay Devgn. The story talks about how common village folk and the army come together to stand by each other during truly pressing times. 


2.Shershaah

The movie that earned the status quo of iconic and stellar quite early on from its release and left the country wiping happy tears off their faces. A powerful and inspiring story of a man and his undying patriotism and heroic worship of the nation. The mission-oriented role of Vikram Batra, is portrayed on-screen by the supremely talented Sidharth Malhotra.

3.Haseen Dilruba

A romantic mystery thriller with Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in leading roles, the movie created quite a stir with its storytelling, witty screenplay and the praise-worthy performance by the actors.


4.Sherni

With the accomplished actress Vidya Balan in the lead role. This is a coming-of-age film which touches upon the sensitive yet important subject of wildlife conservation and the relationship of humans with nature. Watch it for the wide and open-minded perspective on the problem at hand.


5.Toofaan

A sports drama film by the iconic Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, starring Farhan Akhtar as a national level boxer who undergoes rigorous training that changes him completely not only physically but makes him learn imperative life lessons too.


6.83

The year came to a close with its biggest and most awaited release. 83 surprised audiences in the best way possible and left them revelling in happy memories of a team that made a mark in world history of the international game. Some great performances by Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. You’re missing out if you haven't watched this one yet!


7.Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the movie charms its way into the audience’s hearts by its sensitive dealing of an important subject while keeping them hooked with a gripping and dramatic storyline.
