Aditya Chopra is one of the most influential Indian filmmakers in India. He is a writer, director, producer, screenplay writer and distributor and the current chairman of Yash Raj Films. He has contributed heavily to Bollywood and has given us at least 70 amazing films.

On his birthday, let’s take a look at some of his best movies:

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

This is probably the most successful film of Aditya Chopra as well as his directorial debut. He directed as well as wrote this amazing romantic story starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Major scenes of the movie were shot abroad in Europe where they beautifully showed us the landscapes of the country. This was a huge commercial and critical success and can still be seen playing on some screens after almost 25 years.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

This Indian romantic drama film is written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by him under his home banner Yash Raj Films along with his father. The film starred Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead with it being Anushka’s debut. This film was a big hit with the audience and earned commercially well too.


War follows the story of Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), a secret agent, who goes rogue after which his boss sends Kabir’s best student, Khalid (Tiger Shroff) to catch him. Written and produced by Aditya Chopra, this film earned a staggering ₹ 475.5 Cr. It had amazing action sequences, lovely songs and much more.

Tiger Zinda Hai

This was the second instalment of Ek Tha Tiger which came out in 2012. Produced by Aditya Chopra, this is one of his best grossers. Starring Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, this epic action-adventure movie shows how RAW and ISI agents try to rescue a group of nurses held hostage by a terrorist organization.


This is a women-oriented film showcasing Rani Mukerji as Senior Inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy who is a strongly dedicated officer and is working dedicatedly to uncover a Delhi based child trafficking cartel. This was a critical success and won many awards. It was produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner, YRF.
