Bollywood always welcomes new talent with arms wide open and if the talent is from the small screen, Bollywood treats it like gold in the mine. Bollywood is filled with talented and skilled actors/actresses, but their skills are not just limited to the Big Screen. 

These Bollywood celebs have had their share of struggle to reach where they are now. Today we share the top TV actors who smoothly got into Bollywood and became the big stars of the Indian cinema industry.

1. Ayushmann Khurrana

The heartthrob of Bollywood, Ayushmann Khurrana started his career as a RJ but his fame rose high when he won the famous reality show MTV Roadies and after that, he became popular as a television host and hosted shows like The Voice of Youngistaan and Pepsi MTV Wassup. From there, he only went up when he got his first break in Bollywood in the most loved film Vicky Donor. He has acted in films like Nautanki Saala, Dum Laga ke Haisha, Andhadhun and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and many more.

2. Vidya Balan

How can we forget one of the most successful actors to have made a transition from television to films? Known for her role as Radhika in the television serial, Hum Paanch, she made her Hindi film debut in Parineeta. She has gone on to win many awards in her career and acted in some truly beautiful films.

3. Irrfan Khan

The realistic actor of Bollywood Irrfan Khan started his career in the small screen and was one of the remarkable actors of television. He was the cast of serials such as Chandrakanta, Chanakya, Bharat Ek Khoj, Banegi Apni Baat, Sara Jahan Hamara and much more. Soon, he made his break into Bollywood and has given spectacular performances such as Life In A Metro, Piku, Namesake, Paan Singh Tomar and Lunchbox. He even won the Man of The Year in 2009.

4. Aditya Roy Kapur

If you are addicted to Channel V then you would definitely know that Aditya Roy Kapur was first seen as a VJ for Channel V. He made his debut in 2009 in the film London Dreams and then was seen in many more films. But his career graph peaked high after the release of his romantic film Aashiqui 2 for which he won several accolades. He was then seen as a supporting actor in YJHD and he won the IIFA Award in the 2014 as the Best Supporting Actor.

5. Siddhant Chaturvedi

The newest entrant in Bollywood and our heartthrob Siddhant Chaturvedi started his career acting in Prime Video web series Inside Edge before being cast as MC Sher in Gully Boy. 

6. Sushant Singh Rajput

He was one of the popular television actors who gave an award winning performance in Pavitra Rishta and was spotted in the dance reality shows. He then made a dramatic entry in Bollywood making his debut in Kai Po Che and since then there has been no looking back for him.
