2021 is finally here! With the new year comes the hope that we will be able to see our favourite films on the big screen in the upcoming year. Here are the films you need to watch out for in 2021.

Kabir Khan’s next is the story of the Indian cricket team that won the World Cup in 1983. The impressive cast comprises Ranveer Singh, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Sahil Khattar, Chirag Patil, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, Dinker Sharma, Jatin Sarna, Harrdy Sandhu, Nishant Dahhiya, R Badree, and Pankaj Tripathi.

Bell Bottom

Bell Bottom is one espionage thriller that will have everyone at the edge of their seats. The film, which is said to be inspired by true events, stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Huma Qureshi. It is slated to release on 2nd April.

Laal Singh Chaddha

Who would not want to see a film that is starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor? The film, which is the Hindi remake of Forrest Gump, has been pushed from its initial release date of Christmas 2020.  

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai

Originally scheduled to release during Eid 2020, the film will now release during Eid 2021. The Prabhudheva film stars Salman Khan, Disha Patani, and Randeep Hooda, with Bhai playing the role of Radhe.

Maidaan

The film stars Ajay Devgn and Priyamani, with Ajay playing Syed Abdul Rahim. Syed Abdul Rahim was the coach and manager of the Indian football team back in the 1950s. The film will release on 15th October in multiple languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

Toofan

The hit pair behind Bhaag Milkha Bhaag- Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash, present a boxing film in 2021. The film was due to release in September 2020, but its new release date is yet to be announced. 

Jersey

Shahid Kapoor’s next is a remake of a Telugu film that is also called Jersey. He plays the role of a cricketer who returns to the game in his 30s. Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri, the director of the original film.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt plays the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. This is the first time the two of them will be working together, making it a must-watch. The film is said to be based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. 

Brahmastra

With a cast comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Dimple Kapadia, the superhero fantasy film has been in the making for many years. It is said to be part of a trilogy and will mostly release in 2021.

Dhamaka

In this film, Kartik Aaryan plays the role of a journalist, Arjun Pathak. The film is directed by Ram Madhvani, who is the director of Neerja and Aarya.
