Mr. Dutta is a top-line director, who started his career as an assistant director to Randhir Kapoor.
He then ventured into producing films and his maiden venture "Border" was a blockbuster and was the recipient of most awards in the respective year.
His films introduced Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor, & he also created the patriotic blockbuster titled `LOC'. He is the only producer and director in the Indian film industry to use a variety of stars for each of his films.
