A graduate from the Film and Television Institute of India, Jaya Bachchan played a star struck fan in her first film “Guddi” and had all film star fans identifying with her.
She has always been involved with quality cinema and is a highly respected figure in the Indian Film industry.
At the peak of her career she married Amitabh Bachchan and retired from acting. She now takes up only a few select films and she is currently actively involved in doing theatre. She was a Member of Parliament till recently, & is currently actively involved in theatre & television as well.
