The Indian film fraternity has always been at the forefront of charity, therefore the International Indian Film Academy has created a platform that would allow proceeds to be raised for the working class people of Indian Cinema. Instituted by the IIFA management in 2003, the IIFA Foundation  has been a humble attempt to raise funds to assist and support the families of film industry workers who are adversely affected while working for the production of a film.

One of the most exciting activities for the IIFA Weekend is the IIFA Foundation Charity Special event. This is a collaborative effort  between Indian and local stars, celebrities, sponsors, partners and sportspersons to raise money for a worthy cause. With each IIFA destination being unique the Fund raising event could range from Football Matches, Cricket matches, Fashion Shows, Musical extravaganzas etc.,
