Mumbai 3rd June, 2015: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) is recognized across the world for its spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema held in an exotic locale every year. This year, as the first event of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend, Carnival Cinemas presents the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum 2015 for business leaders from India and Malaysia to mutually explore opportunities in the two geographies. The Forum features a keynote address by Mr Anil Wadhwa, Secretary(East), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, followed by the Inaugural Address by Minister of Trade and Commerce, Government of Malaysia and Dr. A. Didar Singh, Secretary General, FICCI.


A panel discussion on Cinema Opportunities will feature a keynote speech by renowned director-producer IIFA Advisory Board member Mr.Rakeysh OmPrakash Mehra followed by Mr. Shrikant Bhasi, Chairman, Carnival Cinemas, India who will speak about the need to provide opportunities for film exhibition. Gerald Dibbayawan, CEO of TGV Cinemas Malaysia will speak about distribution of Indian films and prolific international actor Anil Kapoor will also address the forum with key insights into the subject.


The forum will also focus on opportunities between India and Malaysia with a keynote speech by Dr. Megat Al-Imran Yasin, Deputy Director General, Production and Technical of FINAS followed by a presentation on “Film Incentives & Film Tourism” by Utkarsh Sanghvi, Director  TMT – Tax & Regulatory Services , Ernst & Young LLP.
